How To make the DVD ISO
The DVD Edition arrives in parts. So, some assembly is required :
- Unzip each zip file.
- cat the files together (in order) to get one big fat ISO file. Thus:
  cat file-a.iso file-b.iso file-c.iso file-d.iso file-e.iso > sxcr.iso
- ... then burn the DVD ISO image.

What is Blastwave.org ?

Blastwave is a software service for Solaris x86 and Solaris Sparc users
Blastwave is a collective effort to create a set of binary packages of free software, that can be automatically installed to a Solaris computer (sparc or x86 based) over the network. Blastwave has a substantial build server farm for the use of the software developers and maintainers in the Solaris community. All software is built and tested in a standardized build environment using Sun ONE Studio 8 and Sun ONE Studio 10 tools as well as GCC.

The Blastwave Software set runs with :
Solaris 8 & Solaris 9 & Solaris 10
Solaris Express & OpenSolaris

Release of PostgreSQL 8.1.4 complete.

      Official Announcement from PostgreSQL Global Development Group

      The PostgreSQL Global Development Group today released versions 8.1.4,

      8.0.8, 7.4.13 and 7.3.15. This is an urgent update to close a security

      hole which can permit a SQL injection attack on some applications running

      PostgreSQL. 



      Users are urged to apply the update as soon as reasonably possible. Since

      the update affects client functionality, most driver projects will be updating

      this week as well.



      Because the security issue involved is complex, we have added a section in

      Techdocs to explain it: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/techdocs.52. Please

      read this first before applying the updates.
