The Sun emits a blastwave European Space Agency runs with Blastwave

Document ID Synopsis Date
ESA-0001 European Space Agency runs with Blastwave 30 Aug 2004

The European Space Agency runs Solaris on its critical systems and many of
those systems run with open source software provided by blastwave.org.

The software must be pre-compiled and guaranteed to work on
both the SPARC and x86 machines at the Space Telescope European
Co-ordinating Facility. The ST-ECF is a part of ESA and is
responsible for the European portion of the Hubble Space Telescope.
We need to ensure that we are running the latest versions of
our open source software components and we depend on the fast
response time from blastwave. We rely on the fact that any
important patch release or security issue will be addressed
rapidly at Blastwave. The auto-software update facilities and
European software mirrors allow ST-ECF to rest assured that we
    are stable and secure.

Both run with enterprise class Solaris and Open Source software from
blastwave.
