The first question that people ask is "How do I install this big complex thing?" The answer is simple! Go to the Blastwave HOWTO page and, well, install pkg-get on your system! After that is done you simply type :

# pkg-get -i kde_gcc

Then you are done. I would suggest that you log out of CDE or GNOME and reset the dtlogin banner. You should now see an option to login with KDE from dtlogin. Easy and very free.

Updates and patch releases may be installed or upgraded with :

# pkg-get -u

I wish that it were more complex. Complexity seems to convince some people that there is quality under all the messy libraries and dependency checking that other people do. If you want KDE from Blastwave then get pkg-get on your system. Then go and get a DVD Subscription or make a donation to keep the software process alive here at Blastwave.
