This is the top-level anchor for CSW bug tracking at blastwave.org. The bugtracking pages serve both as a place to track bugs, and a place for the maintainer to note down any issues about their packages. If you go to the "Main" area for a particular project, you will see any notes that the maintainer has put up.

The purpose of having a bugtracking system for CSW packages is threefold:

1. Report errors/conflicts in packaging
2. Report errors in the functioning of the program
3. Request an updated package, with a newer release of the software

There will also be a separate mechanism for requesting package creation of new software at some point. However, the best way to make sure a package of your favourite software gets created.... is to follow the packaging standards, and submit a package yourself!

Any bugs in the software itself, should be reported to the original author(s) of the software. However, in some circumstances, the maintainer may be able to provide a workaround specifically for solaris.

Please use this system for filing actual bugs, rather than a substitute for reading the documentation in each package. In addition to manpages, you may find extra documentation under /opt/csw/doc/[softwarename]/ if the package is particularly complex.
